Clarence

Clarence is not a stranger to hard work and perseverance. After a full day of school, Clarence has put in hours at basketball practice followed by work until closing time only to repeat this day in and day out. On top of this, he also attends Incentive Mentoring Program tutoring twice a week and community service activities on the weekends. Among his favorite community service activities is tutoring and mentoring other Baltimore City youth because he feels he understands the challenges they face but also sees the potential they have to succeed with the right guidance and role models.

What immediately strikes most people when they meet Clarence is that he is a soft spoken young man with a unique ability to infuse his warmth and good humor into those around him. Whether it is teachers, school counselors, principals, coaches, or tutors, Clarence quickly earns their support and becomes a favorite because they see the potential in this kind-hearted student. But don’t let his charismatic and smooth exterior lead you to believe he is nothing but a perfect angel! Clarence’s mischievous side comes through every once in a while and his antics, if nothing else, keeps things interesting!

Outside of school and work, Clarence raps his own music and is a natural with electronics. He plans to attend college and one day own his own business.
