Devin

Devin is a diligent worker and natural athlete. From a young age, Devin struggled with the absence of a father figure in his life. While his anger and frustration at his father's absence initially manifested itself as disobedience both at school and home, he has learned now to use football instead as a release. His ability to harness his anger and his dedication to improving his athletic abilities has helped propel Dunbar to three football state championships.

Since joining IMP in his sophomore year, Devin has learned to apply the same principles of hard work and perseverance that have helped him to excel on the football field to the classroom. Devin says, "My attitude towards my schoolwork is more positive and my grades have improved overall." Devin's goals for the future include improving his GPA, earning a football scholarship for college, and playing in the NFL. In the long term he has aspirations of entering the medical field.
